Abstract

6752. Wynne, F. H. March 17. Disk wheels.-A disk of wood &c. for a skate roller has in the bore a flange a<1> of dovetail form. The metal bush has a flange with a corresponding face and is held in place by a cap c screwed on to it and locked by a small screw. A feather b<3> on the bush fits a keyway in the flange a<1> and prevents rotation. The end of the spindle is within the cap c which is flush with the disk. In a modification, the cap c forms a locking-nut for a nut screwed against the outer face of the flange a<1>.
