Metallic spring bodies and cores; tyre attachments to rims.-Tyres are formed of a number of coils of wire 10, each convolution of which is substantially circular for the greater part of its sectional periphery and is provided with diverging arms 11 connected by a base member 12 adapted to be clamped by the correspondingly-formed flanges 8 of the rim, and are enclosed in casings 13 of fabric or other suitable material having a continuous hooked ring 14 at one side and a series of separate hooks 15 at the other side adapted to engage channels 9 formed at the outer edges of the rim flanges. The channels 9 are disposed in directions substantially tangential to the tyre, the tread of which may be somewhat flattened.
