Abstract

3116. Wootton, C. A. Feb. 6. Knives, cleaning.-Relates to disk machines of the kind in which the casing is made in separable portions held together by bolts. The middle portion G of the casing is made of threeply wood which rests in grooves in the end portions E, E<1>, the whole being held together by bolts and winged nuts so that the casing can easily be taken to pieces. A fibre spring plunger J is provided for forcing the disks apart when cleaning-powder is introduced at the feeder H, and a drawer K is fitted at the bottom for retaining surplus powder and permitting it to be used again.
