[Cognate Application, 13,619/14.] Kinematograph apparatus.-For reducing the length of the picture-changing period relative to the picture-showing period in apparatus with a Maltese-cross or dog intermittent feed, a cyclically varying gear is introduced between the intermittent feed - shaft and the driving-shaft. In one construction, Fig. 1, the intermittent gear shaft p is driven from the driving-shaft b by a pinion c, a wheel k, a double bevel-gear j, m, and a wheel l. The wheel k is mounted on a boss h, which carries the spindle i of the double bevel-wheel j, and this wheel j is advanced and retarded on each revolution of the driving-shaft b by a crank d and connecting-rods o, o<1>, which reciprocate the member n of the differential gear, this member being in gear with the member j. In an alternative construction, Fig. 5, the intermittent gear 6 is eccentrically mounted relatively to the driving-shaft b<1> and is driven by a crank-pin 2 and a slotted arm 3.
