Abstract
1719. Goold, E. Jan. 22. Cameras, reflex.-A pivoted mirror or prism 1 is adapted to reflect the rays passing through the lens 11, either to the viewing-screen 3, or to the plate or film 4, through intermediate fixed mirrors 2, 2 respectively. The pivoted mirror 1 is spring- operated in one direction, and is controlled by a catch. The plate 4 in one construction is at the front of the camera, the mirror 2A being correspondingly directed. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the back of the camera holding the focusing - screen, shutter, and plate-holder may be separate from the front portion holding the mirrors, and be connected thereto by a rack and pinion and bellows &c. for focusing. Spaces 7, 8 may be used to hold rollers or spools for roll films. In a modification, the first mirror or prism 1 is fixed, and a single pivoted intermediate mirror having reflecting- surfaces on both sides is employed. Specification 101/14 is referred to.
