Locking nuts. - A self-locking nut a has a cylindrical extension a' slotted at c to form a semi-detached portion a<3>, which has an oblique bearing-face, and is clear of screw-threads so as to slip over the bolt. The resiliency of the part a<3> tends to lock the nut.
