Abstract

1144. Aktiebolaget Papetypi. Jan. 16, 1913, [Convention date]. Printing processes.-Relates to a modification of the process described in Specification 26,514/11, by which designs are produced on sheets of paper, leather, &c. by pressing together against an elastic bed, by means of a relief block, two sheets with a layer of ink between them. According to the present invention, one sheet only is used, and the ink layer is applied either to the sheet, or to the elastic bed, or to the relief block itself. In the last case, the relief and intaglio parts of the block are formed so as to merge smoothly one into the other. The design is formed by the squeezing away of the ink at the parts corresponding to the relief design of the block.
