Abstract

Sights.-Relates to sights comprising a transverse rotary member having a number of leaves each of which carries a sight, a spring detent being provided to retain the member in position. The invention consists in forming the sights on the leaves at different distances from the axis. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the leaves 1 ... 5 are of different lengths and have open notches at the ends. The sight is held in position by a spring N<1> bearing on the flat sides of a pentagonal plate K fixed to the sightspindle. The sides of this pentagon may be differently coloured so that an officer can see at a glance whether the sight is properly adjusted. In a modification, shown in Fig. 9, the leaves R of the same length are pierced with apertures r at progressive distances from the centre. The rotary sight may be combined with an ordinary leaf sight.
