Abstract

Moving-chamber apparatus for granular or pulverulent materials with several chambers.-A device of the type in which a cylinder having a number of measuring-compartments open top and bottom is rotated beneath a hopper, is provided with means for preventing the material from clogging and sticking in the hopper and the measuring-compartments. The cylinder a rotates between a fixed plate c with an opening c<1> and a second plate d covering the compartment that is being emptied. The plate c is provided with a flange c<2> which engages with the edge of the cylinder a and forms a seal. From the cylinder a a cylindrical baffle e extends upwardly within a casing f surrounding the lower part of the hopper b. A spindle g, rotating at the same speed as the cylinder a, passes up into the hopper b and to it are attached arms g<1> and a distributing-cone m. Wires l, l<1> are attached to the arms g<1> and the cone m, and move close to the wall of the hopper b to prevent clogging. A pivoted arm p is actuated by a cam q to strike against the compartment of the cylinder a that is being discharged.
