Abstract
27,274. Fast Colour Eyelet Co., and Morris, G. H. Nov. 26. Buttons.-Relates to single-piece metallic buttons of the kind formed from blanks comprising two portions and a connecter which form the head and eye of the button respectively, and consists in providing a blank, Fig. 1, comprising two semicircular head-forming portions A, A' connected by an eye-forming piece A<2>. One of the head portions A' has joined to it by a small piece B a curved or other disk B' which forms a cover for the button head as shown in Fig. 2. The connecter A<2> is hollowed so that the eye of the button may be rounded and be less liable to cut the attaching- threads. The covering-disk B' may be smaller than the bead-forming portions A, A<1>, Fig. 5, so that the button may be readily given a bevelled edge. The button may be covered with celluloid, leather, &c., or may be enamelled or japanned.
