Abstract

23,993. Laycock, E. B. Oct. 23. Net supports.-A combined tennis post and net winder comprises an aluminium or like tube A having housed therein a shaft B to which one end of the net is secured. The net passes through a slot F in the tube, a strip I secured to the other end of the net serving to close the slot. An enlargement A<1> is provided at the upper end of the tube to house the tape and cord secured to a slot H in the shaft. Bevel or other gearing D, operated by a detachable handle C, is provided to rotate the shaft, together with suitable stop-gear. The lower end of the tube bears pins engaging bayonet-slots in a base K.
