Springs, arrangement of and mounting undercarriages on.-Relates to shock absorbers for use in conjunction with the usual semi-elliptic springs c, and consists in employing bell-crank levers k, n fulcrumed at i upon the semi-elliptic spring as shown in Fig. 2, or upon a bar b resting on the ends of the semi-elliptic spring, as shown in Fig. 1, these levers being freely pivoted at one end l to the vehicle frame a, their other ends o engaging with the lower ends of auxiliary springs q hanging from the frame a. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, two extra helical springs g are arranged between the bar b and frame a.
