Abstract
22,223. Conradty, C., [Firm of]. July 2, [Convention date]. Arc-lamp electrodes.-Carbons to be subsequently coated with chemicals are roughened by removal of the surface layers after moulding, in order that the chemicals may adhere well and be supplied regularly to the arc. The roughening may be effected while the carbon mass is soft, or by sand-blasting after it is hardened. Porous carbons are mentioned.
