Joints and connexions.-A conn xion fitting for composite bedsteads, for connecting the side or end bars or mattress frame to the corner pillars, is formed of sheet metal and has its vertical web formed of two thicknesses 3, 4 fixed against each other face to face, this web being bent laterally in opposite directions to form back flanges 1, 5 and top flanges 2, 6. The fitting may be made from two separate blanks joined by rivets 27, or one blank as shown in Fig. 6 may be used. Holes 7, 8 may be formed in the blanks to receive the bolt 9.
