Combined with gasproducers; generating by hot producer gas ; feed-water, supplying. -Relates to a steamgenerator of the kind in which gas producers are situated within the water space of the generator, the gas from the producer being burnt and the products passed through tubes in the generator, and consists in passing the gas through a cooling-chamber in the generator and through a cooler and filter outside the generator, and in circulating the combustion products through tubes in the generator. Gas from the producers B, Figs. 1 and 6, situated within the boiler shown is drawn by a pump E through chambers C containing water-tubes c<1> and through pipes c<3> to a gas filler or cooler D, from which it passes through a pipe f to a reservoir F. It passes from the reservoir to a burner G, the products from which, together with the air under pressure heated by products, pass through boiler flues H, h, h<1>, h<2>, Fig. 7, and through a chamber J containing water-tubes j. The chamber J is provided with a relief valve k, Fig. 6, opening into an escape-pipe. Products are drawn from the chamber J by a fan j<2> and supplied through pipes j<4> to boiler heating-pipes j<5>, j<6>. The pipe j<6> is connected to the front of the chamber J, so that products are again passed through the chamber. Water is supplied to the boiler through a pipe L, Fig. 16, and filter l, to a pipe l<1> containing a float valve. The filter l may be blown out by connecting it to the boiler steam space by a pipe l<4>.
