Frequency, changing; transformers. - In a method of producing electric oscillations, a high-frequency generator a is coupled to the aerial circuit @ by means of two or more closedcircuit static transformers c1, c2, which have third windings f1, f2, connected to a source of direct current g and mounted on or embedded inthe sheet-iron body in such a way as to produce a flux at right-angles to the flux produced by the primary windings, thus producing in the aerial circuit current of double the frequency of the generator a. A cross-section of one of the transformers is shown in Fig. 2.
