Window frames.-Cross joints for metal sashbars are formed by slotting the web c of one bar a and cutting away the moulding f of the other bar d, the joint being secured by a boss g, placed over the moulding b of the bar a, and inserted between the remaining portions of the moulding f. The profile of the cut-away portion of the moulding f, and the internal and external profile of the boss g, are preferably the same as that of the moulding itself, and the boss g is secured by punching out the edges of the moulding b.
