[Published under Section 91 of the Act.] Enamels. - Cloudening - agents for white enamels consist of an oxide or silica-containing compound of tin, titanium, zirconium, or aluminium containing phosphoric or like acid in a proportion less than in a normal salt. The compound may be combined with alkali or alkaline-earth metals, or water, the content of acid being inversely proportional to the amount of alkali &c. or water. When the alkali-containing compounds are employed in the hydrated form, the content of acid and alkali is varied inversely to the amount of hydrate water.
