9344. Adams, A. C. April 21. Lateral-splash guards for motor-cars and other vehicles, suspended by a pair of links B, C from a plate 1 mounted by ball bearings upon the cap or axle-box of the wheel, are provided on the inside with a curved rib F with rollers, wheels, or balls G to bear against the wheel in the event of side pressure. The rear end 3 of the guard is set inwards towards the wheel or mounted upon a spring hinge. According tn the Provisional Specification, there is a slotted plate to facilitate the detachment of the links, and the tail end of the guard has rubber buffers.
