Detaching from and attaching to permanent hubs.-The permanent hub a, Fig. 1, and the detachable hub d, Fig. 2, are provided with corresponding screw-threads. c, f throughout their entire length, and the parts are locked by a ring screwing on the outer end h<2> of the permanent hub with a thread of different pitch from that of the threads c, f. A dust cap may be screwed into the outer end j' of the detachable hub. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 23,251/09, 30,091/09, and 26,188/11.
