6718. Rudge-Whitworth, Ltd., Pugh, J. V., and Blair, W. March 19. B e l t s .-In manufacturing an endless belt, a mould consisting of three parts a, b, c is employed. The portion c is hinged and provided with a projection fitting between the parts a, b. The part b is removable laterally from the members a, c. In bnilding-up a belt, the cavity is lined with rubber. Tape or the like, which may he permeated or interspaced with rubber, is then wound with its outer edges alternately touching the sides of the mould. A final covering of rubber is added, the cover c put on, and the belt vulcanized.
