Turning.-A reversing-mechanism for driving from the headstock spindle of a lathe comprises a wheel 42 which can slide into mesh with a wide wheel 41 driven direct from the headstock spindle for driving in one direction, or with a wheel 48, upon a countershaft driven through the wheel 41, for driving in the reverse direction.
