Ventilators, terminal. -A ventilator of the type comprising swing- ing louvers b, Fig. 3, which are set by the action of a draught upon them, consists of a frame a fitted with vertical louvers b secured at their inner edges to vertical pivots c. An antifriction washer c is set between the lower edge of each louver and the frame a Above and around the ventilator is a hood g, Fig. 2. Stops l, which preferably consist of small cylindrical pieces of rubber or the like, are clipped in the ends m of a plate n. The ventilator is screwed to the side of a railway &c. vehicle, as shown. One pair only of stops l is used if the louvers b are connected together. The frame a may be stiffened by one or more bars o.
