Abstract
4492. Dawson, Sir A. T., and Buckham, G. T. Feb. 21. Sights.-Relates to parallel-motion sight-bars, of the kind wherein the bar is pivoted to a member that does not move in elevation and depression with the gun, and is connected by a link to a part that does so move. According to the invention, the sight-bar B is pivoted at its rear end to the non-moving member a<1>, and is provided with open-sights s, s<1> arranged, as shown, in front of the pivot b, or with a telescope sight the eyepiece of which is contiguous to the pivot b. This arrangement is particularly for guns for firing at aerial targets, or from air-craft. The front link C is shown connected to the water jacket A<Î> of an automatic gun.
