Abstract

1178. Corn, E. R. Jan. 15. Portable closets; flushing; disinfecting.-A self-contained water-closet for use independently of a drainage system comprises a pan 1, a receiver 4, and a water-reservoir 9, from which the water is delivered to a flnshing-rim 2 by a pump 10 and pipe 8. The pipe 8 fits loosely in the inlet 7 so that the receiver 4 may he readily removed for emptying. The seat 17 and the cover 16 of the reservoir 9 are hinged together. the cover 16 being screwed to brackets supported from the wall or floor. A removable lid 25 allows the tank 9 to be recharged. The pump may be operated by the opening and closing of the lid 18. According to the- Provisional Specification, disinfectant may be added to the water in the reservoir.
