Cleaning, fluid-pressure processes for.-The outer surfaces of water-heating tubes b located in a chamber a through which the products of combustion from a furnace pass are cleaned by means of a series of vertically extending perforated or nozzle pipes e communicating by pipes f with a supply of steam and provided with means by which they may be partly rotated. The pipes e are connected by universal couplings g to the supply pipes f, and are rotated by means of rods i through worm and tooth gearing. The pipes e are coupled together in sections, and each section is provided with a cut - off valve m in the supply - pipe f, whereby one or more sections may be rendered inoperative.
