Abstract

29,377. Kurze, W. Dec. 20. C o r e - making.- Cores, particularly those of rectangular cross - section, a r e formed on a rotating spindle by strickles mounted on oscillating levers controlled by templets. The core - bar is supported in bearings at one end in a fixed frame and at the other in a frame adjustable on rails 4 and clamped at 3 according to the length of the bar. The strickles 5, one on each side of the bar and situated above and below the plane of the axis, are adjustably mounted on levers 15 weighted at 16 and pivoted on bearings adjustable towards and from the bar. The bar is driven by a friction clutch 24 affording a two-speed drive. In a modification, the oscillating levers are situated below the plane of the axis of the bar.
