28,776. Crookes, H., and Stroud, L. Dec. 13. Disinfectants.-The process of preparing solutions for germicidal purposes described in Specification 21,521/11 is modified by adding to a solution of an organic body such as peptone while omitting the common salt, a solution of a metal salt containing about one part of metal in a thousand parts of the solution. Preparations employing solutions of iron and silver salts are referred to, and in the Provisional Specification is also described a solution prepared by adding immediately a solution of arsenate of soda to the mixed solutions used in the preparation of the product employing a silver salt. A small quantity of phenol is added to render the solutions stable.
