Moulding india-rubber.-A mould for rubber articles, such as heel-pads, heels, horseshoe pads, washers, &c. comprises a plate A having holes formed therethrough into which steel tubes B are firmly secured, and a bottom plate D secured to the plate A. The tubes B may be forced into the holes or they may be secured by a screw-thread c, a screw d, grub screws e, pins, keys, lead or other packing, or riveting, or they may be formed with a collar and inserted from the rear of the plate A. The upper ends of the tubes B project uniformly from the plate A.
