Teaching arithmetic.-A device for teaching arithmetic consists of a plain board or a strip of wood, metal, or other material divided into a series of spaces a, the first space being left blank and the succeeding spaces being divided by lines b into aliquot parts of the first space. Additional lines c are drawn through certain or all of the lines b to the bottom of the board to show the divisions in the different spaces which correspond to one another.
