Expanded metal.- Lattice-work posts are made by forming in a plate of metal numerous slits constituting concentric polygons having intermediate uncut connecting portions and then n expanding the plate by applying tension or compression normally to the plate. In the slit plate, as shown in Fig. 1, the corners d of the intermediate solid portions c may be rounded. Structures thus made may be used as cores for reinforced concrete.
