Vehicle windows; vehicle - window opening and closing apparatus; window frames. - The sliding windows of vehicles comprise a glass panel mounted in a sash consisting of a pair of stiles 77 and bottom rail 76 of channelled metal, mitred and connected by screws 78, angle-pieces 79 being inserted at the corners. The sashes, which are balanced by spiral springs, slide in frames comprising fixed and detachable portions 12, 2 having projecting members 16, which bear against the glass pane and may be lined with felt &c. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) comprises also improvements in vehicle windows, and operating - apparatus therefor, as described in Specifications 25,891/12, 25,892 /12, and 25,893/12, and also vehicle window opening and closing apparatus shown in Fig. 1 (Cancelled). This apparatus comprises lazy-tongs levers 39 pivoted at 40 to a fixed plate at the bottom of the sash-well and at 38 to a plate 37 on the sliding sash 1, the pivot 41 of the levers being connected by a link 42 to a lever 45 pivoted at 43 to a fixed plate 44.at the upper end of the well. A disk 47, fixed on the spindle 46 of an operating-handle, is formed with a spiral slot 48 in which works a pin 49 on the lever 45, so that the lazy-tongs is expanded and contracted by the rotation of the operating-handle. When the sash is raised to its closed position, a projection 52 on the disk 47 engages a projection 51 on the plate 37 and presses the sash over the weather rail against the action of springs. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
