Abstract

20,176. Fisker, P. A. Sept. 4. Filtering.-A bag filter o for use with vacuum cleaning-apparatus has a star-shaped bottom formed by seams running upwards to the axis of the bag. The upper part of the filter is secured to a ring g formed with an annular groove in which a flat-ring h of rubber is inserted. The filter is supported by the ring h being secured between the wired edges b, e of the casings a, d. Wire bows m are used to keep the filter in shape, and are mounted in the ring g so that they can be adjusted by screws n to stretch the fabric of the filter.
