Abstract

20,051. Wolf, J. Sept. 12, 1911. Blowing.-Relates to a modification of the machine described in Specification 18,303/11, according to which the plungers are adapted to produce a screw-thread in the bottle necks. The plungers 10, carried by the rotating holder 3, are screw-threaded to engage with nuts 11 and formed with pinions 12 at the lower ends. When in operative position below the parison mould, each pinion 12 in turn engages a long pinion 13 rotated by hand. This causes the plunger 10 to rotate and its point to enter the soft glass in the neck mould and form a screwthread.
