Abstract

19,988. Gunzendorfer, J. Sept. 2. Roundabouts. - Relates to an amusement device arranged to simulate a submarine boat. A carriage 12 is arranged to run on a circular track 29 below the surface of water B in a tank &c. A passenger-carrying chamber A is mounted on the carriage 12 and adapted to be raised or lowered by a motor 11 driving pinions 7 which engage racks 8. A conning - tower 26 admits the passengers, and its height is such that the top is always above the water. The carriage is driven along the track by a propeller 30. The carriage 12 is connected with a central chamber 45 by an arm 31 which carries electric conductors and air pipes for ventilation. The chamber 45 is approached by a subterranean passage 46 and is illuminated with coloured lights.
