Abstract

[Cognate Applications, 25,485/12 and 28,415/12.] Watch bracelets.-The strap a of a watch bracelet is passed through the two loops l of the watch and the ends are then folded back and secured by pressing a metal tang f secured at about the middle of the strap through a hole b at one extremity, and by passing the spring tongue c of a metal fastening d attached to the other extremity through one of a series of holes g. The fastening d is made too large to pass through the loops l and it may be of various shapes. In an alternative arrangement, the tang f is dispensed with and a fastener d is secured to each end, both fasteners being adapted to engage with a series of holes in the body of the strap. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 11, the tang f is replaced by a stud h adapted to engage one of a series of holes g in the strap and a key-hole slot i in a fastener j. The stud h may be carried by an adjustable slide, as shown in Fig. 15.
