Rests, leg.-A fitting for use with hammock chairs, to serve as a leg-rest, a side table, or a book-rest comprises a table or grid 1 having preferably hinged thereto a pair of legs 2, and an arm 3 provided with a coupling-member. The coupling-member may comprise a socket 4 and a pivoted hook 5, the hook allowing the fitting to be used as a leg-rest, Fig. 1, or as a side table, Fig. 2. To use the device as a book-rest, the end 10 of one side support of the chair is passed through the socket 4, which is held firmly by a set-screw, and the hinged support 2 is turned to the desired angle, the ledge 13 supporting the book. If the device is not required to be used as a book-rest, the simpler form of coupling, Fig. 6, may be used.
