11,979. Halliday, C. May 21. Plants, supporting and training.-In a device for supporting or training peas or other climbing plants, of the kind described in Specification 14,750/05, [Class 45, Fencing &c.], the supports A, A<1>, driven into the earth in the usual way, are held in position against the strain of the training - wires c by inclined stays B reaching from the lower end of the end frames. The uprights and stays are preferably of angle-iron, and suitable slots and cuts b, Figs. 4 and 5, are made in the stays to engage the web and flat side of the uprights, respectively. Each pair of supports and stays may be connected by cross-bars a<1>, b<1> respectively. The training-wires are wound on studs c', so that they may be tightened without removal therefrom.
