Operating doors by springs.-In spring doorclosing devices of the kind in which the closing- springs act through compound levers upon a cam on the door pivot, screw means are provided upon one of the levers for obtaining a fine adjustment of the leverage to suit different doors. In the form shown the adjusting- means comprises a nut f mounted upon a screw h formed on or secured to one of the levers i and bearing against the other lever d. In a modification, the screw is rotatable in a pair of lugs upon the lever i, and the nut is arranged to slide without turning upon the screw. The screw h may also be supported at both ends upon lugs on the lever i. The device may be arranged upon the lever d instead of the lever i.
