Abstract

7511. Geach, L. C. March 28. Capillaryaction lubricators. - A capillary siphon lubricator for the bearings of locomotives. steam-engines, &c. is provided with an interchangeable nipple F to regulate the flow of oil. The suction reservoir A is of little depth compared with its area, so that the oil level does not change considerably. An extension B of the reservoir receives the siphon C, which may have an auxiliary bend D. The suction end dips into a removable plug M fitted with a strainer N. The discharge end is fitted with a cock E and a sight-glass G. A vent-hole K is formed in the outlet pipe H.
