Driving and like chains with separate joint pins.-In order to avoid the storage of a large number of chains of different widths, wide chains are arranged to be made up of a number of narrower chains of standard widths. The chain, Fig. 1, is composed of three unit chains, Fig. 4, each of which comprises a number of link members e loosely mounted on bushings f. The members e are retained in place by securing the outer members to the bushing, and the unit chains that comprise the border of the complete chain is provided with side plates c. The chains are secured together by pins g, over the ends of which are fitted the connecting-plates h.
