Delivery mechanism.-After prepayment, the operator rocks a spring-controlled arm 49 by means of a handle 55, thereby depressing a lever 35 having a cam surface 37, which operates spring-controlled levers 24, 25 in turn. The movement of the lever 24 serves to lift a door 7 from in front of the delivery aperture, and an arm 31 on the lever 25 effects the delivery of the lowest article of the pile. The door is raised by means of a lever 13, 'which works in an aperture 12 and is operated by a projection 21 on a lever 20 co-operating with the lever 24. Coin action, mechanical-connexion.-The coin falls into a channel 59, and is moved forward, forcing down the lever 35 in its passage, by means of a block 58 connected by a screw 56 to the arm 49, and finally passes to the money box 39, Fig. 5. Returning coin.-When the supply of packets is exhausted, an arm 45 on a following weight 46 draws down a member 43, thereby throwing over a pivoted flap 41 so as to return any further coins which may be inserted by a shoot 38 to an external tray 11.
