Bricks, special shapes of.-Hollow bricks with. perforations 3 are made with wavy ends, which, when the bricks are built up into a wall, form conduits 7 communicating with the perforations 3 in the layers above and below and preventing rapid conduction of heat through the joints. Ribs 8 and co-operating grooves 9 are formed in the upper and lower surfaces of the bricks.
