Abstract
1952. Jobson, W. J. Jan. 24. Germinating-appliances; flowers and plants, pot and the like for growing; seed and plant protectors.-A box or case for germinating and protecting seeds and plants comprises a perforated and detachable floor, collapsible sections, and a movable cover of glass or other transparent material. Three of the walls a are higher than the fourth and have upper and lower grooves b to receive the sliding cover i. The perforated floor rests loosely on supports f and is provided with wire lifters e so that it may be lifted out with the soil &c. upon it. The collapsible and detachable sections g are formed by fitting stiff slotted strips into one another, the slots being rectangular. The box may be used without the sections for growing mustard, cress, &c.
