Hydrogen peroxide. - A mixture of a perborate, such as sodium perborate, containing the normal quantity of water of crystallization and a solid acid or acid salt, such as tartaric or citric acid, is rendered stable by the addition of sodium bicarbonate, and may be compressed into tablet form for disinfecting the mouth. It vields on treatment with water a stable basic solution of hydrogen peroxide.
