Abstract

1467. Bowen, R. H., and Walker, A. Jan. 18. Pulleys. - Sheet-metal pulley arms are provided with an external corrugation 14 extending from the rim to the hub, an internally projecting corrugation 18 extending between the hub flanges, and, preferably, bifurcated corrugations 15, 16 extending into the widened inner end of the spoke. Each rim segment comprises two bands provided with meeting flanges which are riveted between the pairs of spokes. The hub consists of two semi-cylindrical hub shells 20, 21 on which are mounted hub-ring portions having flanges 25, 26 to which the spoke-pieces are riveted. The widened inner ends of the spokes preferably overlap.
