457. Ladd, A. J. H. Aug. 6. Mud-guards carried by wheels.-An annular member c, Fig. 3, has a side flange d preferably inclined or curved towards the periphery of the tyre, and secured by spring connectors j having at one end hooks k to engage the spokes and at the other end loops l to engage hooks m carried by the member c. The side flange preferably consists of a flexible ring f, Fig. 5, of leather, india-rubber, or the like, secured to the flange e of the member c by studs h passing through holes of larger diameter to allow of radial adjustment. Washers i held by the securing-nuts i<1> cover the holes.
