23. Hughes, H. R. Jan. 1. Pens.-Relates to pen-nibs of the kind held perpendicular to the paper for the purpose of writing Chinese and like Oriental characters. The end a<2> of the nib is bent backwards at right-angles, or somewhat less than a rightangle, to the main portion a<1> of the nib, the line a<3> of the bend being either perpendicular to or at an oblique angle to the centre line of the nib.
