Shuttles, changing bobbins and the like in, automatically.-The back wall 12 of the magazine is pivoted at 14 to the end wall, and is drawn by a spring 15 towards the fixed front wall 10 of the throat 8, which is thus normally too small to permit the weft-carriers to escape. When, however, the transferrer 9 is depressed, the back wall is moved outwards to allow the lowest weft-carrier to be transferred, this movement of the back wall agitating the weft-carriers sufficiently to ensure their proper movement from staggered or plural-line formation in the upper part of the magazine to single-line formation in the lower part thereof. When the transferrer is depressed, a projection 20 thereon acts on and rocks, against spring action, a positioning-lever 18, 18<1> furnished with a spring-controlled lever or blade 21. This blade is thereby caused to move behind the second lowest weft-carrier 7<a> and, on the return of the transferrer, moves this weft-carrier into position beneath the transferrer.
