28,307. Incandescent Light and Stove Co., and Stubbers, J. Dec. 15. Atmospheric gas and vapour burners.-In a gas or vapour stove provided with a number of atmospheric burners, each burner has a controller which is connected by transmission to, and operates independently, a valve in a common nipple. Each burner 2 is controlled by a sliding sleeve 14, which is actuated by a rocking-arm 17 and provided with a part 15 for more or less covering the flame apertures 13. Each arm 17 has a sheave 21 over which passes a chain 22 held to the stove frame by a tightening-device 23 at one end and secured to a wheel 19 on the screwed nipple-regulator spindle 9. The chain is arranged beneath sheaves 20. When the arm 17 of either burner is raised so as to open the burner, the spindle 9 is turned by the chain 22 and wheel 19 against the action of a coiled spring 25 so as to open the nipple and admit a corresponding amount of gas or vapour from the pipe 7 to the mixing- tube 6. A reverse movement of the arm causes a corresponding closure of the nipple.
